A vehicle accident on I-40 in Monterey yesterday resulted in no injuries but backed traffic up as a result. Trooper Willie Allison stated in his report a 2020 Toyota Highlander operated by 77-year-old Lois Feeley of Olathe, Kansas merged into another lane of travel at the 300 mile marker eastbound and struck a 2017 Buick driven by 77-year-old William J. Groce of Franklin, Kentucky. Feeley left the road and side swiped 50’ of cable barrier before coming to rest in the road. Both drivers were restrained at the time of the crash.
