Verlin L. Cross, age 97, passed away on April 20, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on March 1, 1925, in Oakdale, TN.

He is preceded in death by his beautiful, loving wife of 61 years Darlene B. Cross; parents, John and Ava Cross; 7 brothers; 3 sisters.

He is survived by his 4 beautiful daughters, Virginia Simpson and late husband, Esco, Linda McPeters and husband, Mickey, Loraine C. Winters and husband, Tom, Kathy Francis and husband, Wade; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren plus a great-great grandbaby girl arriving August 22; sisters, Serelda Lemaire and Liney Harris both of Campbell County and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at his home in Oakdale in the upcoming weeks.
