VICTIMS IDENTIFIED IN FATAL BOATING ACCIDENT
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency released the identities of the victims killed in a boating accident yesterday on Fort Loudoun Lake.
Officers say 70-year-old Terrance Andrew Dea was going upstream in a pontoon boat in the Little River portion of the lake near Alcoa Highway when he was passed by a watercraft operated by 18-year-old Emma Renee Fila.
Shortly after, Dea found Fila floating face down next to her boat after she apparently collided with a concrete railroad bridge support. Dea jumped into the water to rescue the woman but experienced a medical emergency and passed away. Fila also was deceased. Bystanders in another boat pulled Dea and Fila out of the water.
