Reservoir Conditions: The water temperature is in the lower to mid 80’s. The lake elevation is normal. The fishing is always better when current is present. Storms and rain can and most times move a few fish into areas where the rain enters the lake.

Bass: Some schooling largemouth and white bass can be found around cuts which increases the influence of current. Topwater lures, spinner type lures, and crankbaits are used most often. Some ledge fishermen in the main channel are catching bass while using plastic worms, crankbaits and swimbaits.

Catfish: Catfish are being caught by anglers drifting in the main channel while using bluegill, chicken breasts, and other meaty baits.

Striped Bass: Striped bass are being targeted most often in the Clinch River or the tailwater below Ft. Loudon Dam.

Crappie: Crappie are being caught around some deeper docks or at night under lights. Jigs or minnows are always good baits.

Reservoir Conditions: Fishing is good. The water temperature is 81 degrees and the lake is falling.

Bass: Lots of bass are being caught at night on jigs and soft plastics on drops in 20-30 feet of water.

Walleye: Several walleye are being caught while jigging spoons and nightcrawlers on drops and flats in 30 feet of water.

Crappie: A few crappie are being caught on minnows around deep grass in the rivers.

CENTER HILL

Reservoir Conditions: Fishing is slow. The water temperature is 82 degrees and the lake is falling.

Bass: Several bass are being caught at night on soft plastics and jigs ion channel banks in 20-25 feet of water.

Walleye: A few walleye are being caught while trolling nightcrawlers on flats in 25 feet of water.

Catfish: A few flatheads are being caught while using noodles and bluegill with line 15 feet of deep.
