WATTS BAR, DALE HOLLOW AND CENTER HILL FISHING REPORT – JUNE 11, 2020

WATTS BAR

The lake is at normal elevation. The water temperature is 75 degrees.

Crappie: Minnows or jigs are used by anglers to catch fish. Crappie are moving into deeper water in the secondary areas. The shallowest crappie can be caught around docks. Some crappie anglers are fishing at night around lights.

Bass: Secondary points are good areas to catch transition fish. Many bass are being caught in the deeper secondary and primary areas. Use crankbaits, plastic worms, and jigs. Some anglers are catching bass on topwater early and late in the day.

Catfish: Drift the main lake with a variety of meaty baits. Shad, bluegill, or shrimp are examples of meaty baits that are used. Plenty of fish are being caught in the Tennessee, Emory, and Clinch rivers. Current will always make fishing better.

Bluegill/Shellcracker: Many fish are spawning. Look for shallow isolated water. Worms or crickets are the better baits.

Striped Bass: The upper Clinch and Tennessee Rivers are good. Shad is the best bait. Swimbaits and jigs are also being used.

Walleye: Fish are being caught by angler trolling crankbaits in the upper river and tailwater. Night fishing seems to be better. Some night fishing is occurring from the bank. Fish jigs, crankbaits, and spinner-type lures form the banks.
