WATTS BAR, DALE HOLLOW LAKE AND CENTER HILL FISHING REPORT – NOV. 25, 2020

WATTS BAR

Reservoir Conditions: The lake is about halfway between summer and winter pool. The water temperature is near 60.

Crappie: Most crappie are being caught around deeper docks or blowdowns in the creeks or sloughs. Several crappie are being caught in the dead water near Ft. Loudoun Dam. Use minnows or jigs.

Bass: Fish around grass beds. Use something weedless. Flats with baitfish on the river, sloughs and creeks will have bass nearby. Lipless lures are good baits to use.

Catfish: Fishing is good. Drift the main channel with meaty baits.

Bluegill: Fish around docks or along rock bluffs. Use worms or crickets for bait. Fishing is good.

Striped Bass: Swimbaits, spoons, and shad are being used for bait. The mid lake has the greater number of stripers now.

Walleye: Reports of some fish being caught along the bottom in the upper river. Use jigs, spoons or shad for bait.

Shellcracker: Use worms or small jigs in the sloughs or pockets below Ft. Loudoun Dam.

DALE HOLLOW

Reservoir Conditions: Fishing is good. The water temperature is 58 degrees and the lake is falling.

Smallmouth Bass: Lots of smallmouth are being caught on swimbaits while fishing points and channel banks near shad in 20-30 feet of water.

Largemouth Bass: Lots of largemouth bass are being caught while jigging spoons under shad in the creeks in about 25 feet of water.

Crappie: Several crappie are being caught in the rivers while fishing minnows in fallen trees in 15 feet of water.

CENTER HILL

Reservoir Conditions: Fishing is fair. The water temperature is 60 degrees and the lake is falling.

Smallmouth Bass: A few smallmouth are being caught on swimbaits and topwater baits on points on the lower end of the lake in 5-20 feet of water.

Largemouth Bass: Several largemouth and spotted bass are being caught while jigging spoons under shad in the creek in 25 feet of water.

Crappie: A few crappie are being caught in sunken brush piles on minnows in 15 of water.
