Wilbur Eugene Futhey, 80, was born on August 4, 1941, to Wilbur and Florence Futhey in Byhalia, Mississippi. He passed away on July 3, 2022, at Cumberland Medical Center surrounded by his family.

He enjoyed reading, collecting old coins, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter Melinda Wilson; grandson Brad (Vicki) Futhey; granddaughter Allison Wilson (Alen Miller); grandsons Mason and Alex; Sister Jackie; sisters-in-law Judy Futhey, Carolyn Hennessee, Ellen Cox, and Sharon Smith; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 43 years Vera Hayes; brothers James and Johnny; and sisters Dorothy, Lillian, Judy, Ernie, and Bertha.

Services will be held at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. The visitation will be on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 5-8 pm. The Funeral service will be on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 11 am. He will be buried in Linary Cemetery immediately following the service.
