William A. Newcomb, 93, a resident of Harriman and a practicing attorney for 50+ years, died peacefully at home on December 10, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Nancy; five daughters: Linda Raby (Houston), Wilda Taylor (Ted), Lisa Braunberg (Michael), Amy Wood, and Sara Lawson (Jonathan); nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Bill was proud to be an Air Force Veteran, a graduate of UT College of Law, and a life-long Republican. He loved his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, nephews and nieces; he loved practicing law; he loved Roane County and was always eager to work for good things for the county and its residents; and he loved the Lord. He will be remembered as a master story-teller and a fierce advocate for his clients.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a celebration of life to follow at West Hills Presbyterian Church. The family will observe a private interment. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the West Hills Presbyterian Deacons’ Fund or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Kyker Funeral Homes of Harriman is serving the Newcomb Family.
