William “Bill” Wayne Anderson, 92, passed away on November 18, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 23, 1932, in Sweetwater to Ethel May Clark Anderson and Elbert Anderson. Bill was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church Sweetwater, served in the United States Army and was a dairy farmer for 34 years. Bill also worked for the State of Tennessee Dept. of Agriculture for 31 years. After retiring, he worked for Valley Building Supply for 10 years.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by several siblings and his great-great grandson, Knox.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Alice Ann Anderson; daughter, Belinda Anderson Shell (Steve); son, Jeffrey Wayne Anderson (Teresa); his grandchildren, Wendy Cummings, Brandon Shell (Melissa), Laura Stockton (Drew), and Amy Graves (Scott). He also leaves behind his 3 sisters; Delight Grigsby of Knoxville; Audrey Pedigo of Sweetwater; and Wanda Alexander (David) of Sweetwater; his great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, Jaxon, Ethan, Skye (Gordon), Chandler (Olivia), Mason, Brianna, AJ (Torrie), Emma, Isaac, Nash, Myles, Khloe, Korbyn and Alec.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM at Sweetwater Memorial Park on Friday, November 22, 2024 with Charles Dennis and Jeff Anderson officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, please donate to Finish the Vision Building Fund with First Baptist Church in Sweetwater.
