William Harlie Reed age 89 of Spring City, Tennessee passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 in Cleveland, Tennessee.

He was born on April 30, 1936 to the late Clifford Perry Reed and Agnes Sherrill Reed.  Harlie was a lifetime resident of the area and graduated from Spring City High School. He spent the majority of his working career at Central Soya in Chattanooga until his retirement. Harlie loved flea markets and enjoyed buying and selling up until recent years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Spring City.

Harlie is preceded in death by his brothers Lowell Reed and Billy Joe Reed and niece Teresa Reed.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years Ann Denton Reed of Spring City, Tennessee, his son Gary (Carolyn) Reed of Cleveland, Tennessee, granddaughter Emily Reed of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and caregiver and close family friend Mrs. Carla Sturgeon.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Wickes officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
