Graveside Funeral Services for Willie Clayton Laycox, age 78, of Monterey, Tennessee, will be conducted on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 3:30 PM at Sand Springs Memorial Gardens.

Rev. Bobby Floyd will officiate.

Mr. Laycox was born on Saturday, January 11, 1947, in Monterey, Tennessee, to the late Chester Vonner and Mary Etta Tosh Laycox.

He passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at his home.

He loved carpentry, having fun, making people laugh, and playing cards. Willie loved to laugh and his laughter was infectious. Anyone who met him loved him. Mary Jane was his favorite dog.

He is survived by,

2 sisters, Bonnie Hall of Cookeville, TN
Rose Laycox of Antioch, TN

2 daughters, Dawn and Danielle

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, James, and Tommy Laycox; and 2 infant sisters.

The family will receive friends at Sand Springs Memorial Gardens for Graveside Funeral Services.

Everyone is welcome to join the family for a reception after the services for sharing memories and photos on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Quality Inn and Suites Event Hall, 522 E. Stratton Avenue, Monterey, TN, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
