Wilma Dean (Spears) Dyer Watson, 84
Mrs. Wilma Dean (Spears) Dyer Watson, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Cumberland Valley Health & Rehab in Burkesville, Kentucky having attained the age of 84 years, 1 month, and 19 days. She was born in the Willow Grove Community of Clay County, Tennessee, on Tuesday, September 2, 1941, the daughter of Cecil Otto & Mattie Bell (Willis) Spears. She was of the Christian faith and worked as a Middle & High School cook for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Franklin Dyer, whom she wed on April 16, 1959, second husband, Jack Watson, whom she wed on November 14, 2002, son, Donnie C. Spears, brothers, Richard Spears, Shelby Spears, and sister, Minnie Jean Branham.
She is survived by her children, Ricky Wayne (& Darlin) Dyer, James Walter (& Tammy) Dyer, siblings, Nelda Farlee of Burkesville, Kentucky, Charlene (& Bobby) Scott of Marrowbone, Kentucky, Sherry Ann Smith of Lexington, Kentucky, sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Spears, Josie Mose, Margret Vibbert, grandchildren, Brandy (& Dan) Held, Nikki Spears, Richard Dyer, Kristi (& Lane) Hurt, Trevor (& Cassie) Dyer, Ethan Spears, Logan Spears, Luke Spears, great-grandchildren, Paige Held, Bohdi Held, Amber McInteer, Tristan Capshaw, Annzley Shaw, Skylar Young, Chesney Dyer, Kori-Ann James Dyer, Justin Kane Hurt, and one great-great grandchild, Rylee Held.
The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 3:00 P.M C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Castollo officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 26, 2025, beginning at 10:00 C.S.T. until the funeral hour. Burial will be at the Mud Camp Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
