Wilma Sidwell Wyatt
April 30, 1942 – April 14, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Wilma Sidwell Wyatt, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Wilma gained her heavenly wings on April 14th, 2025 after a life well-lived full of love, compassion and fun.
Wilma was born on April 30, 1942 to Ida Barringer and Alonzo Sidwell.
She was known for her kind heart, quiet strength, and deep love for her family. Wilma leaves behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and grace that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Wilma was a talented and dedicated hairdresser for close to 60 years, touching the lives of generations in her community with not only her skill, but her warm heart and listening ear. Her salon chair was more than a place for beauty — it was a place for friendship, laughter, and connection. Above all, Wilma loved her family deeply. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and her home was always filled with love. As a devoted member of Crossville First Methodist Church, Wilma’s strong faith and devotion to Christ was instilled in her family and will live on in her legacy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Wyatt; her sister, Clella Quillen; and her motherand father, Ida and Alonzo Sidwell .
Wilma is survived by her daughters, Beth Wyatt Davis and Lisa Renee Smith (married to Chris Smith); and by her cherished grandchildren, Andrew Wyatt Smith (married to Chelsey Smith), Thomas Smith (married to Brittiny Smith), and Bailey Davis Tollett (married to Ben Tollett), as well as her only great grandchild Katelyn Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cumberland County Animal Shelter or Crossville First Methodist Church.
