WINFORD E. “BUDDY” CARAWAY age 81 of Grandview, TN passed away April 9, 2026. He was born February 27, 1945 in Dayton, TN the son of Albert R. and Mary Dillard Caraway. He was retired from TVA as an iron worker and was also a member of Gospel Trumpet Holiness Church in Rockwood, TN. He was also a United States marine who proudly served our country during Vietnam.  He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather who treasured his family and his love for the Lord was a devoted and abundant love. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends he made along life’s way.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years- Wanda Caraway and son- Tony Caraway both of Grandview, TN, brothers Wilford Caraway and Clifford Caraway and his wife Annette all of Dayton, TN, sisters- Betty Borne, Charlotte Blaylock and Ann Stinnett all of Dayton, TN, granddaughter- Chloe Caraway and great grandchildren- Henry Gurley, Luke Gurley and McKinley Tickle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter- Shannon Caraway, brother- Alford Caraway and sisters- Ruth Price, and Molly Caraway and Ollie Aslinger.

Funeral services will be held Monday April 13, 2026 at 2pm EST at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12noon-2pm EST at the funeral home. Burialw will be in Johnston Stand Cemetery in Grandview, TN.
