A Putnam County woman escaped injury in a single vehicle accident in Overton County this morning. Trooper William Looper says a 2003 Ford Taurus driven by 21-year-old Kaitlyn Miller of Cookeville was traveling south on Highway 111 near Highway 293 in a single lane construction zone. Miller’s vehicle left the lane of travel and struck the end of the construction barrier, coming to rest facing west completely blocking the southbound lane. Miller was restrained at the time of impact. She was charged with failure to exercise due care.
