A woman lost her life in a recent vehicle accident in Anderson County. According to the report released today by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2004 Toyota Sequoia driven by 30-year-old Michaela Buckner of Newport was heading east on Highway 116 when she lost control in a curve, struck an embankment and hit a tree head on. Bucker was transported to U.T. Medical Center where she later passed away. Troopers say Bucker was not restrained at the time of impact.
