11-YEAR-OLD GIRL INJURED IN SHOOTINGS; 9 ARRESTED

In Murfreesboro, Tennessee, nine suspects have been arrested in connection with a series of targeted drive-by shootings that injured an 11-year-old girl.
The Murfreesboro Police Department recently arrested Taziyah Ware, 19, and Amauri Blackmun, 20, for their roles in a shooting at Green Meadow Apartments, with Ware facing three counts of attempted first-degree murder and Blackmun charged with facilitation of the same. Both are held on high bonds and are scheduled to appear in court on September 8.
The investigation began with a shooting on June 22 at Abbington Apartments, where Kevin Hatter, 20, and two 16-year-old boys were arrested after shots were fired from a blue Volkswagen sedan, striking apartments but causing no injuries. The following day, the intended victims of that shooting allegedly retaliated by firing at mini-bike riders on Greenland Avenue, leading to the arrests of Ke’Marion Bass, 19, and Kameron Dunnaway, 18.
Later that day, Benjamin Hicks, 19, allegedly shot at Bass and Dunnaway at Green Meadow Apartments, injuring the young girl and damaging vehicles. Ny’Esha Lawrence, 19, was also arrested on July 2, marking the seventh arrest.
Police confirm the shootings involved a small group of individuals and remain under active investigation.
