15-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED FOR MAKING THREATS AGAINST BLOUNT CO. SCHOOL

A 15-year-old William Blount High School student was arrested today after making threats against the school. The Blount County Sheriff’s Department says the teen is charged with delinquent by false reports. Officers took the student into custody after a bus driver with Blount County Schools was made aware of the boy’s threats. He’s being held at the Blount County Juvenile Center pending a hearing in juvenile court within 72 hours. Deputies visited a residence where the boy lives and confirmed he does not have access to any weapons.
