Whitney Blake Purvis, a 33-year-old former star of the reality show “16 and Pregnant,” was arrested on July 7, 2025, in Rome, Georgia, on charges of involuntary manslaughter, felony distribution of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor use of a communication device to commit a felony.

According to court records, Purvis allegedly provided a fatal mixture of fentanyl and xylazine, known as “Tranq,” to John Mark Harris on February 16, 2025, leading to his death from a toxic overdose. The arrest warrant affidavit states that Purvis gave the drugs to Harris without intent to cause his death.

This arrest follows the recent loss of her 16-year-old son, Weston, which she announced a month prior.
