2006 CHEVY SUBURBAN STOLEN

Officer VanTrump was dispatched to Heather Glenn Drive for a vehicle having been reported stolen from a home. Upon arriving alongside Officer Brendel, they made their way to the front door and spoke with a man and a woman who said their white 2006 Chevrolet Suburban was missing from their home.
The two said they left their home to go to Nashville on Friday, January 31st, leaving their suburban in the driveway. They left the doors unlocked and the keys on the dashboard. When they came back on the 10th of February, they found the vehicle was not at their house, and they told the officers that no one had permission to take the vehicle.
They also told the officer that there were areas of paint chipping on the hood and the driver-side rear passenger door. They also said that there were miscellaneous gardening tools along with two putters and a 50 lb bag of catfish food.
While speaking with the two, Officer Brendel and Corporal Griffin checked the flock camera system and found the vehicle leaving Peavine Road and heading into Fairfield on Dartmoor Drive. Upon further review, the flock camera system spotted the vehicle leaving Fairfield and heading toward Crossville on the 9th of February.
The vehicle had been in the area of Sheffield Drive on the 9th of February at around 8:00 a.m. as Corporal Janow had been dispatched to the area for a suspicious vehicle. He made contact with the vehicle, but no one was around, and the vehicle had not been reported stolen at that time.
Sergeant Wyatt checked the area of Sheffield Drive and was unable to locate the vehicle. Upon further inspection of the area, Sergeant Wyatt found a 50 lb bag of catfish food, and Officer Brendel located the two putters.
Detective Fatima Pena was called out to the scene to attempt to lift fingerprints from the putters and secure any evidence from the scene.
Currently, the investigation of this incident has been handed over to Detective Pena.
