2016 KIA SPORTAGE STOLEN FROM FAIRFIELD GLADE HOME

On Monday at around 11:30 a.m., police units from Fairfield Glade Police Department were dispatched to Kingsboro Lane for a stolen vehicle report. Corporal Logan Janow responded and spoke with a man who said his black 2016 Kia Sportage was missing from his driveway.

He said he last saw it when he parked it in his driveway the afternoon before after returning from Food City. The weather was so bad he carried his groceries inside and left the vehicle unlocked, leaving the keys inside.

The next day, he noticed the vehicle was gone just before he called 911. He also pointed out to the deputy that a flower pot beside his mailbox was in the ditch, along with some broken landscape lights.

Detective Fatima Pena also arrived on the scene to assist, and the deputies took pictures of the title of the vehicle. The victim told the deputies that they contacted neighbors. However, they said they didn’t have cameras.

The vehicle has a circular Cubs sports magnet positioned to the left of the license plate. There was also a set of TaylorMade golf clubs inside an orange golf bag within the vehicle worth around $1,100. There was also a Fairfield Glade employee jacket and a Fairfield Glade badge, an employee ID card, and a hat, along with some phone bill documents and a cell phone holder.

The vehicle itself is valued at $10,000.

The surrounding areas were checked, and the vehicle was not located, so the deputies provided the victims with their Department phone number and a case number. A bolo was sent out to Cumberland County agencies for the stolen vehicle.
