3 NICE DAYS AHEAD

We have three lovely days ahead with sunny afternoons and clear nights through Wednesday. High temperatures will climb from 58 on Monday to 65 on Wednesday. A chance of showers will come into the picture from Thursday through the weekend. Currently I’m expecting Christmas to be in the 50s with a good chance of rain but I will keep you posted because it could change but I don’t think we have much of a chance of a white Christmas at all.

Friday night and Saturday was a time in the weather office that I will never forget and I don’t mean that in a good way. Tracking some of the worst tornadoes ever in December that moved from Arkansas to Kentucky and it was just unbelievable looking at the intensity and knowing that you are seeing life-changing events for thousands of people in those areas.

Wind gusts during the thunderstorms hit 78 mph at Nashville International Airport which was the third highest wind ever recorded there. After analyzing the damage at Mount Juliet High School it is likely Winds there were over 70 mph. Nearly every County in Middle Tennessee reported some type of wind damage.
