Anderson County deputies responded to Offutt Spur Road yesterday for an accidental shooting. Officers confirm a 4-year-old child was shot by a 9-year-old sibling in the face. Lifestar landed at Lake City Middle School and transported the wounded child to the hospital. Authorities say the victim did not sustain life threatening injuries. The case is still under investigation. The Department of Children’s Services was called to scene as well. No further information was initially released by deputies.
