475 POUNDS OF COCAINE SEIZED IN MT. JULIET

More than 475 pounds of cocaine was seized in a shipment to Mt. Juliet.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office and Lebanon Police Department Narcotic Detectives seized the drugs on May 30.

A business in Mt. Juliet said it received a suspicious package that arrived without any labels. Detectives found 216 kilogram of powder cocaine inside.

“We always encourage everyone that when you see something, say something, and that’s exactly what the business owners did when they received these unlabeled packages that arrived at their facility,” Sheriff Robert Bryan said.

Bryan says the investigation is “very active” and detectives are working with other law enforcement agencies to track down the culprits responsible for the large shipment of drugs.

Police don’t believe the business that the drugs were shipped to is involved. The business is not being named.
