$9,000 CAMPER STOLEN AND FOUND OCCUPIED IN MORGAN COUNTY

On Jan. 29th, Deputy Dustin Jackson responded with CPD Units to Prentice Street for a theft and upon arrival, he spoke with a woman who said that her camper had been stolen from Brown Creek Drive sometime between the 1st and 25th of January.

The owner was conducting a self-investigation, which led her to the address on Prentice Street, and she found some of her belongings on a trailer in the front yard of this residence. She provided photos confirming that the items on the trailer were hers. She was able to recover the items from the trailer, but the trailer itself is still missing.

A few days later on Feb. 3rd, Deputy Jackson spoke with Morgan County’s Deputy George, who said that he was out with the property owner from before at an address in Morgan County. Deputy George stated that a family with medical issues was staying in the camper.

The family informed him that they traded a side-by-side for the camper. Deputy George further stated that he did not observe
any VIN numbers to check registration and the woman inside would not let him in to compare Rebecca’s images of her custom paint job to the walls.
