GAS PRICES ON THE RISE

Tennessee gas prices jumped eight cents on the week as summer-like demand pushed pump prices higher across the nation as well as the state. Tennessee drivers are paying an average price of $2.60 per gallon for regular unleaded. Monday’s state average is eight cents more than a week ago, 27 cents more than this time last month, but only one cent higher than this time last year.
The national gas price average is $2.83, which is nine cents more than last week and 30 cents more than last month.
