Deputies from the Blount County Sheriff’s Department responded this morning to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident near Lanier Elementary School.

Authorities said the pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, sustained minor injuries.

An investigation into the incident is underway. Motorists should expect some delays in the area this morning.
