Yesterday afternoon, Cumberland County deputies were called to an address on U.S. Highway 127 North regarding a theft report. Deputies encountered the homeowner, who said a solar panel and battery for an automatic gate had been stolen from his property. He had been on the property the day before and the gate was in perfect working order. There are no suspects at this time, but an investigation is underway. The unit is valued at approximately $500.
