A 3-year-old girl passed away after drowning in a pool Friday night in Blount County. Officers and medics responded to a home on West Cumberland Drive in Louisville where they performed CPR on the child. She was transported to U.T. Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Preliminary results of an autopsy showed the girl died as a result of accidental drowning. The Blount County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident.
