VOLS STUNNED BY GEORGIA STATE, WHO GETS $950,000 FOR THE GAME

The Georgia State Panthers came into Neyland Stadium yesterday to play the Tennessee Volunteers as a 26 point underdog. When it was said and done, Georgia State turned what should have been a happy day for the Vols into a nightmare. The Panthers won the game 38-30.

It was the first victory for Georgia State against a Power Five conference opponent. The win was even more shocking since Georgia State finished last year with only two wins.

To add insult to injury, Tennessee will pay $950,000 to Georgia State to be on this year’s schedule. The two schools agreed to the terms back in 2014.
