REPORT: JAMESTOWN REGIONAL HOSPITAL IN BAD SHAPE FINANCIALLY WHEN CLOSED

A filing released by the Securities and Exchange Commission may shed light on why Rennova Health closed Jamestown Regional Hospital in Fentress County. The report shows Rennova, who owns the hospital in Jamestown, was in near financial ruin at the close of the 2018 fiscal year, having just $7,000 cash on hand. The report states the company was not financial able to cover basic operations such as payroll. Rennova also reported a $13.6 million operating loss last year, along with  combined stockholder and a working capital deficit of nearly $80 million. In a statement in the report, Renova officials says there can be no assurances they will be able to raise sufficient funds on terms that are acceptable to them, or at all, to fund their operations under our current business model.
