A Bledsoe County man was charged this week with attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault after he reportedly shot his stepfather. Officers say Robert Jones discharged a firearm striking Kurt Frederick during an altercation at a home on Summer City Road. Frederick was treated for injuries sustained. Jones is scheduled to make his first court appearance on the charges in April.
