Highway 52 in southern Clay County was blocked for just over 4 hours yesterday as a result of a vehicle accident. Troopers say a 2018 Freightliner tractor-trailer operated by 56-year-old James R. Porter of Cookeville overturned and blocked both lanes of travel. Porter was hauling a fertilize spreader truck on the flatbed trailer. He was restrained and not hurt in the accident.
