Funeral services for Vancienetta Wisdom, age 91, of Crossville will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Central Baptist Church in Crossville. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. the day of the service at the church. There will be no graveside service.

Mrs. Wisdom ran Wisdom Television for over 50 years. She was also active in the community with the restoration of the Crossville Depot, the Palace Theatre and the old Cumberland County High School. She served on the Crossville Recreation Board and was named Woman of the Year by the Business and Professional Women’s Club. She was a former Ms. Senior Cumberland County and was recently named Honorary Ms. Senior Universe.

She is survived by her son: Ligue Wisdom; daughter: Glenda Wisdom; grandchildren: Marcia Conley (Avery), David Newberry (Terry), Barbi Clouse (Nathan), and Gary Newberry; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and siblings: John Lee Smith (Eunice), Delmer Smith (Monica), Linda Moffett (Ken), Velma Burgess (Dave), and Nowell Smith (Vicky). She was preceded in death by her parents: Dewey George Smith and Martha Jane Beyers Smith; husband: James Earl Wisdom; 2 sisters; and 5 brothers.
