Sammie Joe Moore, age 83, of Crossville, passed away September 11, 2020. He was retired from the Cumberland County School System. He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Janette Moore of Crossville; son: Bobby Moore (Ashley) of Crossville, Leslie Baker (David) of Zephyrhills, Florida and Deborah McCartney (Kevin) of Cleveland, Tennessee: grandchildren: Christopher Moore, Katie McCartney and Olivia Moore; brother: Larry Moore (Louise) of Snellville, Georgia; sister: Barbara Smith of Naples, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Hood Funeral Home in Crossville. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crossville City Cemetery.
