Charles Pitts Jr., age 95, of Kingston, passed away November 1, 2020 at his home. He was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky and was of the Southern Baptist faith. Charles served in the United States Air Corps 1943-1945. He flew 35 missions over Japan in World War II and was awarded the distinguished Flying Cross, 2 Bronze Stars and numerous other medals. He was employed at Y12 from 1954 until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his wife: Juanita Pitts; and grandson: Andrew Pitts. He is survived by his son: Charles E. Pitts of Edmond, Oklahoma; 1 grandchild; and 4 great-grandchildren. Entombment service will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2020 at Kingston Memorial Gardens.
