SEARCH CONTINUES FOR PRISON ESCAPEES IN TENNESSEE

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is asking people to be on the lookout for two inmates who escaped from Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville yesterday. The two are considered armed and dangerous.

The Henry County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Department said late yesterday inmates 36-year-old Robert Lee Brown and 34-year-old Christopher Osteen kidnapped a Fulton County Kentucky Highway Department employee from a boat ramp on the Mississippi River.

Later yesterday the employee was safe located near Highway 218 and Iron Banks Road in Henry County where he was left by the escapees.

This morning around 2:40 a.m. a resident of Reynoldsburg Road was found by Henry County deputies tied up in his home by the two escapees. The victim’s 2009 red Chevrolet Silverado with the Tennessee license plate of 050WJQ was stolen. The truck has not been located and a direction of travel is unknown.

Anyone with information on where these inmates are located is asked to call 911 or contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at (731) 642-1672.
