Troopers and medics responded to a vehicle accident yesterday on Moore Road near Stoney Creek Road in Overton County. The report states a 77-year-old female was driving when she lost control in a downhill curve and left the road. The vehicle went down a steep embankment and rolled, before coming to a rest in a river at the base of the hill. A passenger, 82-year-old Cecil Gentry of Livingston, was killed in the collision. His wife, who was driving, was injured. The crash remains under investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
