NASHVILLE POLICE RELEASE BODY CAMERA FOOTAGE OF SHOOTING – VIDEO IN STORY
Nashville Metro police released body and dash camera footage of a deadly shooting yesterday on Brick Church Pike that wounded an officer and killed a 31-year-old woman.
Officer Josh Baker reportedly stopped a Chevrolet Camaro after learning the owner of the vehicle had six outstanding drug warrants. Officer Baker approached the car and instead encountered 31-year-old Nika Nicole Holbert, the sole occupant. At some point, Holbert and Baker exchanged gunfire. Police say Holbert shot at Baker first and both were hit. Holbert died at TriStar Skyline Medical Center. As of this morning, Officer Baker was stable at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after undergoing surgery.
