Knoxville Rural Metro Fire and medics responded late Friday to a car crash in the 7900 block of Conner Road. Authorities arrived and found the driver already free from the vehicle that was ablaze. The motorist was assessed and transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The accident is under investigation by Knox County Sheriff’s Department. The name of the driver was not initially released.
