A teenager died and another hospitalized after being struck by a falling tree in Loudon County yesterday off of Virtue Road. The injured minor was flown to U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville for treatment. Authorities say neither teen, or anyone who was there at the time of the accident, was doing any type of work to the tree and it falling was a complete ‘act of nature’. The names of the two teens are being withheld.
