The 2021 Tennessee Vols football season will now start two days early that expected. The Volunteers will host Bowling Green in a televised game Thursday, September 2 with kickoff set for 8 p.m. eastern on the SEC Network. The opener was originally planned for Saturday, September 4. The upcoming season will commence the centennial celebration of Neyland Stadium, which originally opened in 1921.
