NASHVILLE PREDATORS PEKKA RINNE ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne announced his retirement today. The 38-year-old spent 15 years in the sport and his entire 683 game career with the Predators. He leads the team in games played, wins (369), shutouts (60) and saves (17,627). Rinne guided the Predators to numerous Stanley Cup Playoffs appearances. He was instrumental in getting them to their first Stanley Cup Final appearance in 2017. Rinne was selected by the Predators in the eighth round of the 2004 NHL Draft.
