WORLD SERIES CHAMPION BRAVES FANS CELEBRATE WIN WITH PARADE IN ATLANTA FRIDAY

ATLANTA (from WTVC Channel 9)— One million fans are expected in downtown Atlanta Friday afternoon for the World Series celebration for and with the Atlanta Braves. And fans are ready to party like it’s 1995. That was the last time the Braves saw a World Series win. The Braves defeated the Houston Astros Tuesday night in Texas and are ready to celebrate with their fans today.
The parade will begin in downtown Atlanta on Marietta Street and Peachtree Street. The parade route will continue to travel down 10th where the team will hop on I-75 and arrive at Truist Park for a concert inside the stadium. More details here. Tickets are already sold out for that concert.
Atlanta and Cobb County officials ask fans to arrive early for the parade and obey traffic and detour signs. Crews worked into the night to make sure security measures are prepared for the massive crowd expected Friday.
