TDOT had closed I-24 West at the Highway 27 split this morning for a bridge inspection. Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed there was a shift in cement on the high bridge near U.S. 27. TDOT crews worked quickly to repair the cement crack, and as of 7:30 a.m. Friday morning the road is open and traffic is running smoothly.

TDOT spokeswoman says this section of I-24 is scheduled for permanent repairs next year.
