Miss Edna Earl Shaw of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the Cumberland County Hospital having attained the age of 90 years, & 4 days. She was born on Sunday, September 25, 1932, in the Leslie Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky the daughter of Beckam E. and Minnie Dixie (Cary) Shaw. She was of the Church of Christ faith, member of Church of Christ at Hanover, Seamstress for Bob Evans for many years, salesclerk for 10 years for Ruth’s Variety, and clerk for many years for Smith’s Pharmacy until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother & sister-in-law, Herschel & Madesta Shaw

She is survived by her nephews, Stephen (& Cil) Shaw, Randy (& Joan) Shaw both of Centerville, Ohio, great-nieces, Stephany (& Eric) Stacy, Amanda Timmons, Amelia Shaw, great-nephew, John Shaw, great-great-nephews, Justin Stacy & Tucker Timmons, great-great-nieces, Morgan Stacy & Macie Timmons, a very special first cousin, Maedell Daniel, along with other family members and many, many friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Don Nims, & Bro. Tim Struthers officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. till the funeral hour on Monday in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in the Leslie Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
