MAN LEAVES SCENE AFTER HIT-AND-RUN BECAUSE STORE WAS TOO CROWDED

On Saturday city units were dispatched to Crossville Lowes for a hit-and-run.

A female had called dispatch after she noticed her vehicle had been hit while working. Officers responded to the scene and watched the surveillance footage and observed a Dodge Ram hit the woman’s vehicle. A male subject got out of the vehicle, looked at the damage, and got back into his truck. He then drove around the parking lot and parked and went inside. While inside he unknowingly had the victim help him find a tote.

Officers were able to get his name and address off the receipt and went to his address. When they arrived, they spoke with Herman Page Jr. who was the driver of the truck.

Mr. Page allegedly admitted to hitting the vehicle and stated he did not know what to do so he wrote down the vehicle’s tag that he hit. When asked why he didn’t tell an employee about the accident, he claimed it was just too crowded.

Herman Page Jr. was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and for failing to report.
