NASHVILLE, TN –  Emergency HAZMAT crews were dispatched to the Cordell Hull Building this afternoon in Nashville, to investigate a powdery substance that was mailed to GOP lawmakers.  Staff inside the building have been advised not to leave the premises at this time.  The Tennessee Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation in Nashville,  but questions are being referred to the FBI.  The investigation is ongoing and follows a situation on Wednesday in Kansas, where the same MO was used and upwards to 100 letters were sent to various Kansas public officials.  This situation is unfolding and more will be known as additional information becomes available.
