Gary Smiddie, age 70, of Crossville, passed away on September 25, 2023. He was born February 6, 1953, in Cookeville, the son of John and Bonnie Shelton Smiddie. He retired after many years as a project manager from AT&T. He loved playing golf and enjoyed working around his home and property.

He is survived by his wife: Debbie Henry of Crossville; son: Shane DeLynn Smiddie (Susan Marie) of Crossville; grandchildren: Alyssa Ann Smiddie Barnett and (Sydney) and William Robert Ryan Smiddie; sister: Pat Whittenburg of Crossville; brother: Raymond Smiddie of Crossville; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and a large spiritual family as well.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 4 p.m. at Hood Funeral Home in Crossville. The family will receive friends from 3 until 4 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family has respectfully asked that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Cumberland County or Caris Hospice.
