Sequatchie County authorities charged 63-year-old Keith Edward Kopecky with criminal homicide.

Officers released his name yesterday based on an incident this past Tuesday.

The report states Kopecky called 911 and told a dispatcher he shot his wife, 64-year-old Marcy Renee Ervin, in their home on Windridge Drive just north of Dunlap.

Kopecky told deputies they were married, but the victim did not take his last name.

Ervin was found face down on the kitchen floor with a gunshot wound to her back and chest.
